PwC Vietnam honoured with Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit for its Achievements in Building & Developing Tax Consulting Service Market in Vietnam

HANOI – 26 April 2013 – PricewaterhouseCoopers (Vietnam) Ltd. (PwC) and Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Van, the General Director of PwC, were honoured to receive the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit for their achievements in building and developing tax consulting service market in Vietnam over the past 5 years, from 2008 to 2012. The Certificates of Merit were presented at the Second Term meeting of the Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association (VTCA) held on 26 April 2013 at the office of the Ministry of Finance in Hanoi.

PwC is considered a leading tax consulting service provider in Vietnam. For nearly 20 years, PwC has provided consultancy on Vietnam’s tax policies and investment incentives to hundreds of foreign-owned and local enterprises companies. PwC has helped its clients to comply with the tax regulations of Vietnam through tax consulting services, provision of policy updates, and the tax declaration services. According to the report dated 3 May 2012 of the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA), PwC was amongst the Top 3 companies having the highest revenues from tax consulting services in Vietnam. PwC was amongst the first tax consulting firms to establish in Vietnam, and has made significant contributions to the development of the tax service and tax agent industry.

Talking about this honour, Ms. Van said, “We are delighted to receive such a valuable award which demonstrates the Government’s interest in and recognition of our contributions to the tax consulting industry and, importantly, to the growth of foreign investment and development of the Vietnamese economy. As an active member of the Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association, PwC has joined hands with the Association and the tax consulting business community to contribute to developing the tax policy system of Vietnam, to improve efficiency and boost the development of the tax consulting industry.”

At the meeting, Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Van was re-elected to the Second Term Executive Committee of VTCA, in the position of Member of Executive Committee and Vice Chairwoman of VTCA. Another member of PwC, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang - Director of Tax Services, was also elected member of the Inspection Committee of VTCA.
