Manager in Finance and Accounting (F&A) Unit

In Finance & Accounting Advisory, we work closely with the finance function of businesses and other organizations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its operations. We leverage on our in depth understanding of accounting and financial processes, as well as organizational and technical skills to help enhance the core transaction processing, reporting and decision support competencies of the finance function, while strengthening the ability to support management decision-making and corporate strategy.

We are looking for candidates who should have well developed skills in consulting and business development around Finance and Accounting related areas to join our Advisory team as Manager. The successful candidates can choose to be based in either Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.

They must also be fluent (writing and talking) in both Vietnamese and English. Experience in consulting and managing complex Finance and Accounting engagements would be ideal.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing consulting services covering Finance and Accounting (including strategy, organisation, processes, people and technology)
  • Leading multiple client development efforts, designing and selling engagements, and managing client relations in a consulting environment
  • Proactively engage with clients to build effective relationships during on-going assignments
  • Manage all aspects of client engagement execution and deliver agreed project outputs that exceed client expectations in terms of time, quality and cost
  • Use commercial awareness to identify consulting opportunities in target accounts
  • Compile clear and concise oral and written reports
  • Supervise and review the work of other team members, provide coaching and support to them and manage their performance
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops and presentations at client premises and within the team
  • Contribute towards the technical, industry and consulting capability of finance & accounting advisory

Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting business opportunities and awareness of possible challenges that most CFOs in Vietnam are facing on a daily basis.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in Finance & Banking
  • Experience in consulting and managing complex Finance and Accounting engagements would be ideal preferably experience in financial services, banking industryt
  • Detailed understanding of finance and accounting structures, business processes and a broad understanding of some of the key ERP F&A modules, e.g. Oracle or SAP
  • Experience in managing and working in a multi-disciplined team environment to develop an integrated business solution
  • Prior consulting experience is optional but a clear benefit
  • Rapid learning capability and able to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus
