WNTS relationship program

PwC’s Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) Relationship practice helps clients to anticipate the practical impact of emerging Federal legislative, regulatory, IRS administrative, and judicial tax developments and to implement successful tax strategies in response.

With international tax and revenue-raising proposals under consideration by Congress, companies can expect substantial modifications to the US tax system over the next several years that could adversely affect their bottom line and the way they do business. The WNTS office of PwC filters, critically assesses, and analyzes fast-moving Washington tax developments and a large volume of information to provide understanding of relevant tax issues and trends.

WNTS clients are served through proactive monitoring and evaluating of legislative, regulatory, and other developments related to the client's particular priority tax issues, including guidance specific to its industry. The assigned WNTS partner and manager address topics of importance in periodic conference calls or meetings, based on jointly developed agendas, with discussions led by appropriate PwC technical specialists. For topics of critical importance, immediate, real-time reports are provided by email or other means.

A WNTS client relationship may start through our "Fly-in" program, designed to give clients an in-person opportunity to interact with WNTS tax policy and technical specialists. This day-long strategy session allows WNTS professionals to apply their knowledge and experience to identify solutions to the client's tax challenges and introduces the client to the resources and level of experience available as part of the WNTS relationship.

The large and diversified WNTS Relationship practice client base includes more than 100 Fortune 500 companies. Representing every major industry segment, clients include both US multinational corporations and foreign-based multinational companies. Clients tell us that the WNTS practice adds real value through the development of long-term relationships resulting in a deep knowledge of their business objectives, ready access to national tax specialists in a wide variety of matters, and the analytical capabilities of a team that is informed and active in all aspects of tax law development and administration in Washington.
