IRS announces increase in user fee for US Residency Certification

The Internal Revenue Service announced that effective April 1, 2012, the user fees for processing Form 8802, Application for United States Residency Certification, will increase. All Forms 8802 received with a postmark dated on or after April 1, 2012, will be charged a flat fee of $85.00 per application, regardless of the number of certificates requested.
