Mike Urban is a Managing Director and leader of PwC’s Managing Accounts practice. In this roles, Mike specializes in assisting clients with interest and account-related issues, as well as with a wide range of tax practice and procedure issues.
Prior to joining PwC in September 1994, Mike was with the Office of the IRS Chief Counsel for nearly 10 years. From 1990 to 1994, he was a Senior Attorney in the General Litigation Division. He spent his early career as a trial attorney in the Office of IRS District Counsel in Houston. Mike earned his B.A. in English from Bucknell University and his J.D. and LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. A former associate editor of The Tax Lawyer, Mike publishes widely on interest and other tax procedure issues.
