Karen Lohnes is a principal and leader of the M&A Tax group of PwC’s Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) practice. In this role, she assists clients with all aspects of partnership taxation, including joint venture matters, structuring domestic and foreign partnership acquisitions and disposition transactions. Ms. Lohnes has extensive consulting experience in the areas of partnership formation and operational issues, including disguised sales, substantial economics effect analysis and section 704(c) methods.
Prior to joining PwC, Ms. Lohnes was a tax associate with Covington & Burling, where she focused on partnership, corporate and general tax matters. She holds a B.S. in accounting from Louisiana State University and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
