Czech Republic announces new tax measures

Overview

The Czech government announced new tax measures that focus on the increase of individual income tax and health contributions at both the employee and employer levels. Other important measures include increases in VAT, excise taxes, real estate transfer taxes, and withholding tax on non-resident income. Other recent developments include the tax treatment of both unrealized foreign exchange gains and cross-border payments from derivatives.
