Julian Vasquez is a director in the New York office of PwC and is member of the Latin American Tax Group based in NY. Julian has over 12 years of experience advising multinational companies with respect to the restructuring of their worldwide operation in a tax efficient manner, tax-efficient repatriation of earnings from foreign jurisdictions and the establishment of new business operations, with a particular emphasis on the Latin American region.
Julian has also advised financial services institutions on cross-border tax matters involving Latin American countries and several asset managers, hedge funds, private equity funds and sovereign wealth funds in their investments in Latin America. Julian worked with PwC Chile for five years advising local, multinational companies.
Julian frequently also writes on a broad range of international tax issues such and has been published Practical Latin American Tax Strategies and Practical US/International Tax Strategies.
Julian has a Master of Laws from Duke University (NC) and is a candidate to a Master in US Taxation at Fordham (2011). Julian is also a Chilean attorney graduated magna cum laude from the Chilean Catholic University, with a Certification in Chilean Taxation from the same school. Julian is also an Enrolled Agent before the US Internal Revenue Service.
