Gilles, a director on PwC’s international tax services team in New York, is our primary US-based African tax contact on the team’s Desk in New York; the team includes tax specialists from key African jurisdictions. Both a French and an African tax specialist, he has been with the firm for 14 years, including six months in Morocco, four years in the Cameroon/Chad office, and three years in the Gabon office.
His industry focus has been on energy, utilities and mining. He has been active in creating solutions for groups investing in Africa: tax-efficient holding and financing-company structures, tax-efficient profit, cash repatriation techniques, and M&A.
Gilles is also a qualified French tax lawyer.
