Diego is a senior associate at PwC’s International Tax Services Group in New York, where he primarily works with the New York-based Latin American Tax Group (LATAX), providing advice to multinational companies on mitigating their tax burdens through restructuring global and regional operations, tax-efficiently repatriating foreign earnings, structuring cross-border transactions, and establishing new business operations.
Diego's expertise in inbound and transactional Peruvian taxation has been developed as a result of a five-year career in the tax consulting division at PwC Peru, where he advised domestic and foreign clients on Peruvian direct and indirect taxation, with a focus on transactions made by large and mid-sized multinational and local mining companies. Seconded to PwC's tax consulting division in Santiago, Chile from September 2007 to December 2007, Diego gained expertise in cross-border taxation as a result of participating in the provision of tax advice in cross-border transactions involving Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
