Impact of 2012 Taxpayer Relief Act on Federal and State Credits and Incentives

On January 2, 2013, President Obama signed the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 ("ATRA"), which extends certain expired and expiring individual and business tax provisions through 2013.  Some of the key business credit and incentive provisions of the ATRA include: (1) point of hire tax credits; (2) new markets tax credits; and (3) renewable and alternative energy provisions.
