California Enterprise Zone credit program changes provide time sensitive opportunities for retailers

California enacted legislation that replaces California’s Enterprise Zone credit program with a new hiring credit and other incentives. Although retailers, and certain companies providing temporary help or retail trade services, are not eligible for the new hiring credit, retailers may have a time sensitive opportunity to qualify for current enterprise zone benefits before the credits expire at the end of 2013.
