Choosing your next big bet: A US perspective


In this companion piece to PwC's second global Family Business Survey, we look at what US family businesses have been doing and thinking since we last conducted our survey. Despite a turbulent few years, family businesses remain a substantial force in both the US and global economies. Seventy percent of our survey respondents say that being part of a family business has helped them through the economic crisis.

Our US report summarizes the key survey results, including those regarding family businesses' current conditions, challenges, and intentions. The overall picture that emerges is of businesses that have successfully weathered the economic storm (most are in a strong financial position) and are now cautiously considering where to place their next big bet.
