PwC Recognized as Vanguard Firm in the Kennedy Vanguard™ of HR Transformation Consulting Providers Report

Rating demonstrates PwC’s hypothesis driven, engineering approach to HR transformation

NEW YORK, March 24, 2014 PwC US today announced it has been selected as a Vanguard firm in the Kennedy Vanguard™[1] of HR Transformation Consulting Providers. The Kennedy Vanguard™ assesses firms in terms of relative breadth and depth of their HR transformation consulting capabilities. PwC is one of only three providers to achieve Vanguard rating.

“We are proud to be selected as a Vanguard firm in HR transformation by Kennedy and believe this recognition represents PwC’s ability to provide unique HR services to our clients,” said Miles Everson, PwC’s U.S. Advisory Leader. “As the business demands more from HR and trends like globalization and the shortage of talent create the need for new technologies, we help our clients transform HR – from strategy through execution -- through our distinctive industry focused approach to the market. Leveraging our deep domain knowledge, along with our tax, accounting and analytics experience, allows us to deliver effective solutions to our clients that are critical to the success of today’s HR programs.”

According to the report, “PwC’s Transform methodology brings a lean engineering approach to HR transformation that focuses on producing value for HR’s customers. It is a pragmatic, hypothesis-driven method that actively engages clients in the transformation. PwC incorporates change management and leadership development into the methodology to enable a cultural shift toward continuous improvement in the HR function.”

Kennedy highlights PwC’s strengths in the report, which include:

  • Transform methodology aligns HRT with business: With its focus on creating value, PwC’s Transform methodology ensures that HR transformation projects do not get bogged down in the details of program management and systems implementation. While the methodology imparts rigor and discipline to the process, it focuses on linking business value to the assessment, design, and implementation of the entire transformation, while driving sustainability and continuous improvement.
  • Intellectual capital for strategic HR: PwC’s annual global CEO survey, along with the annual report on human capital effectiveness from PwC Saratoga, provides a wealth of insights and data that can be used to build a strong case for HR transformation. The CEO study informs the business context for HR issues and priorities, while the PwC Saratoga survey provides detailed metrics by country on the human capital challenges that impact HR operations and service delivery.
  • HR process expertise: PwC has competencies across the full spectrum of HR processes, including payroll, broad-based and executive compensation, health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits, and all components of talent and human capital management. This comprehensive view adds depth and dimension to HR service delivery consulting, whether the opportunity is inclusive of all or exclusive to specific HR processes.”
