PwC principal and former PRTM Global Managing Director recognized as a Top Consultant for 2012
NEW YORK, May 7, 2012 – PwC US today announced that Scott Hefter, a principal with PwC, was chosen by Consulting magazine in its annual list of “Top 25 Consultants” in the category of “Excellence in Leadership.” As former Global Managing Director (GMD) with management consulting firm PRTM, Mr. Hefter played a key role in helping guide the integration of over 700 PRTM global consultants into PwC following PRTM's acquisition by PwC in August 2011.
“We congratulate Scott on receiving this recognition as a consulting leader and highly value the significant contribution he has made to PwC since joining the firm,” said Dana Mcilwain, PwC Vice Chairman and U.S. Advisory Practice Leader. “Scott demonstrated exemplary leadership during the PRTM acquisition, not only by helping facilitate the smooth integration of new talent into PwC, but also by encouraging immediate collaboration among our consultants to more quickly bring our combined talents and innovative ideas to bear on our clients' most pressing business challenges.”
Mr. Hefter is a seasoned consultant with over two decades of experience in management consulting. Prior to joining PwC, Mr. Hefter was the Global Managing Director (GMD) of PRTM, where he was responsible for driving the firm's operational strategy and growth objectives. Prior to his election to GMD, Mr. Hefter co-founded and ran PRTM's U.S. Government and Public Sector practice in addition to managing the Washington, D.C. office. Prior to that, he ran PRTM's Telecommunications and Electronics business, where he led teams serving clients in both the U.S. and Europe. Over the course of his 25 years in consulting, Mr. Hefter has worked with clients in over 20 countries.
“It has been amazing to see the real impact of the acquisition and the tremendous benefits we have been able to bring to the clients we serve around the world,” said Mr. Hefter. “PRTM partners and staff were embraced and integrated into PwC quickly, with great enthusiasm and a focus on delivering uninterrupted service to our clients. This speaks volumes as to the caliber and quality of the firm, its leadership and its people. I am very proud to be part of PwC and honored to receive this award from Consulting magazine.”
