Schive brings over 20 years of cyber security experience to PwC
NEW YORK, August 20, 2012 – PwC US today announced that Laurie Schive will join the firm’s U.S. Forensic Services practice as a director. Based in McLean, VA, Schive brings over 20 years experience to PwC having led numerous cyber security, intelligence and risk management programs in the public and private sectors.
Schive has supported various engagements involving cyber risk management, crisis management, intellectual property protection, intelligence operations and foreign threat assessments. She also has extensive experience conducting global due diligence, effective threat waning programs, risk methodologies and security training.

Prior to joining PwC, Schive was Director of Outreach at the Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive (ONCIX) and a Senior Executive Service-level member of the leadership team, overseeing counterintelligence and security policy, analysis, training and threat warning. While with ONCIX, Schive established an office to strengthen strategic partnership with U.S. industries and federal agencies, with a focus on defense, finance, energy, IT/telecom and nuclear sectors.
Schive was previously program manager and senior analyst at CENTRA Technology in support of the Committee on Foreign Investment where she established an analytic unit to conduct IC assessments on foreign acquisitions of U.S. businesses. Earlier in her career, she held various positions at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), including Senior National Clandestine Service (NCS) Officer and Deputy Intelligence Chief of National Resource Divisions.
Schive holds an M.S. in Technology Management from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University. She also has a CIA Meritorious Unit Citation and numerous CIA exceptional performance awards.
