PwC Partner Leanne Sardiga honored with Consulting Magazine’s ‘Women Leaders in Consulting’ Award

NEW YORK, NY – November 9, 2011 – Leanne Sardiga, Transaction Services Leader for the Retail and Consumer Sector in PwC US’ Advisory Practice, has received Consulting magazine’s “Women Leaders in Consulting” award for her outstanding achievements in the Client Services category. One of only ten women to earn this distinction, she will be publicly recognized during a celebratory dinner and gala at the Plaza Hotel in New York, NY on Thursday, November 10, 2011.

The evening will mark Consulting magazine’s fifth annual Women Leaders in Consulting awards ceremony, honoring the industry standouts and rising stars making a mark within their profession.

“Leanne is a recognized leader in the consulting field, with deal experience that is invaluable not only for our clients, but also our employees who benefit from her mentorship,” said Dana Mcilwain, PwC Vice Chairman and U.S. Advisory Practice Leader. “We congratulate Leanne on receiving this award.”

Ms. Sardiga has been with PwC for 17 years, accumulating deal expertise from more than 200 transactions globally and over 50 transactions in the retail and consumer sector. Leanne helps clients successfully execute acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex transactions, including strategic fit, diligence, synergy analysis, deal terms, financial reporting considerations, and integration/separation. She has assisted clients in executing transactions throughout the U.S. and in Latin America, China, Korea, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and the United Kingdom.

Ms. Sardiga graduated with highest honors (Bronze Tablet) from the University of Illinois, and received the Elijah Watt Sells Gold Award for the highest score in the United States on the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation.
