OECD report on the Attribution of Profits to Permanent Establishments Part IV

On July 18, 2008, the OECD issued a report on the Attribution of Profits to Permanent Establishments Part IV (Insurance), the last part of the report, in a final form. The original draft of the Part IV was issued in June 2005, followed by a revised draft issued in August 2007 after consultation meetings with representatives of the insurance industry and other interested parties. To date, this paper is the only insurance industry-specific guidance for transfer pricing. PwC professionals who advise clients on transfer pricing and international tax issues discussed the contents of the paper and potential impact on the industry.
