ITB 11-25: U.S. District Court dismisses New York Life's policyholder dividend deduction claim

A U.S. District Court judge dismissed New York Life Insurance Co.'s suit, which requested a refund of approximately $100 million in taxes, concluding that New York Life failed to properly show that the claimed deductions for policyholder dividends were, in fact, not contingent liabilities.
