Per Nevada Assembly Bill 6 (Laws, Special Session 2010), the State Legislature mandated that the Division of Insurance of the Department of Business and Industry shall, not later than July 1, 2010, implement a desk audit program to ensure insurers are complying with the insurance premium tax requirements as specified in NRS 680B.027. The Division of Insurance has interpreted this to mean an audit on every licensed insurance company doing business in Nevada.
