A flexible PMO approach and specialized expertise help launch an online joint venture

Faced with declining market share as a result of consumer migration to new media distribution channels, two traditional media companies formed a joint venture to distribute content online. PwC’s team created and led the prelaunch program management office (PMO), which monitored and managed multiple activities related to the launch including technical aspects, communications, risk, contracts, etc. The PMO helped keep the project on schedule, focusing client personnel on the requirements to get the business off the ground. As a result, the organization experienced a successful business launch.
