The US ranked #1 in our latest global attractiveness index for aerospace manufacturing of 142 countries. The analysis looks at how countries and US states compare in terms of their attractiveness as locations for commercial aircraft manufacturing.
The 2015 index primarily uses a weighted average of variables. For the global ranking, the three categories of variables are costs, industry size, and infrastructure/stability/talent. For the US state ranking, variables are categorized under tax rates, operating costs, industry size and educational attainment. Enhancements from last year’s global and US state rankings methodology help provide a more robust assessment of the manufacturing environment in which the aerospace companies are (or will be) operating.
