Mike is an Assurance Partner and PwC’s U.S. Engineering & Construction (E&C) industry sector leader. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing PwC’s tailored advisory solutions, assurance and tax services to contractors, home builders, building products companies, professional and support service companies, and governments, as well as private and public sector companies. He also serves as the Greater Michigan Private Company Services Leader.
Mike has spent his entire career focused in the construction, automotive and manufacturing industries, primarily with businesses that offer diversified services such as general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors and government contractors. Most recently, he spent a two-year tour with PwC’s National Office where he was a member of the Accounting Services Group focused on revenue recognition, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards. He also served as the office’s technical liaison for the E&C industry, assisting companies, both public and private, with complex, industry-specific technical matters. Mike has authored several internal and external articles and has given numerous market presentations relating to the E&C industry.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves as Co-Chairman of AICPA’s E&C Revenue Recognition Task Force, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) where he serves on the Executive Committee, as an at-large National Director, Chairman of the National Emerging Issues Committee, and is a past Detroit Chapter President.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting at the University of Connecticut. He is based in Detroit, MI.
Allen is a Partner with PwC in the Dallas office. He has more than 17 years of experience providing tax planning and compliance in both public accounting and industry. He has extensive experience providing tax consultation related to companies with multi-state and international activity, as well as tax planning for business formations, acquisition structuring, internal revenue service dispute resolution and analysis, and ASC 740.
Allen has worked extensively with clients across industries including engineering & construction, retail, technology, aerospace & defense, and entertainment & media. Prior to joining PwC, he worked as a Tax Manager in the tax department of a multinational company providing tax planning and compliance services. He also worked with another Big Four accounting firm specializing in the real estate industry with a focus on real estate investment trusts, partnership taxation and tax planning.
Allen holds a Bachelor in Business Administration in Accounting and a Master’s in Professional Accounting in Taxation from The University of Texas. He is a CPA licensed to practice in Texas. He is a member of the AICPA and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
John is an assurance partner in the San Francisco office and also serves as the US Engineering & Construction Assurance Leader, the Market Team Leader for San Francisco’s CIPS audit team, and the Industrial Products sector’s client experience program lead.
John has spent the majority of his career working on large multinational clients in the engineering and construction, technology, and entertainment and media industries. He started his career and made partner in San Francisco, and then worked in the firm's Tokyo and New York offices before returning to San Francis
He has been involved with numerous public offerings, acquisitions, and divestitures, including the carve-out and spin-off/IPO of Agilent Technologies from Hewlett-Packard, the carve-out and sale of IBM’s computer business to Lenovo, and the acquisition of EMI Music Publishing by a consortium led by Sony, among other significant transactions. John also has significant experience in Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls implementations, assessments and remediation efforts, SEC reporting and disclosure, joint venture structuring and accounting, and tax matters.
John graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor in Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California and New York Societies of Certified Public Accountants.
