    Matthew H. Bruhn joined PwC in 1998 and is a partner and the US Chemicals tax leader. His overall responsibilities include the delivery of tax related consulting and compliance services to a broad range of clients including chemicals, pharma, infoComm, and technology companies.

    Matt's experience has been focused toward providing tax and accounting assistance to both public and privately-held corporations. He has assisted clients in tax planning with respect to worthless stock deductions, enhancing net operating loss carrybacks, maximizing tax deductions relating to implementation of ERP systems, stock and asset basis reviews, and executive compensation. Additional areas of knowledge include the reportable transaction requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 for tax, accounting for income taxes under SFAS 109, partnerships matters and consolidated tax returns.

    Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University and has completed his Masters in Taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State and New Jersey Societies of Certified Public Accountants.

    Venky Jayaraman is PwC's US Chemicals advisory leader. He has over 17 years of experience assisting leading chemicals and industrial products companies implement their business strategies. Venky has worked across the wide spectrum of the chemical industry ranging from petrochemical, commodity chemicals, specialty chemicals and hybrid conglomerates. He has spent the last 12 years assisting several leading clients with their business transformation initiatives including restructuring and cost reduction, organizational integration, IT strategy and execution, global SAP ERP implementations, SAP instance consolidation, supply chain transformations, information management (business intelligence), including master data management and optimizing their ERP investment.

    Venky received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bharathiyar University, India, in Electronics and Communication Engineering and is a certified consultant for SAP production planning, product costing and sales and distribution modules.

    Bruce is a Transaction Services director based in Philadelphia and is part of the PwC Global Chemicals Team who focus exclusively on the chemicals and related industries. Bruce's experience at PwC includes transactions sponsored by corporate and private equity clients involving acquisitions and joint ventures. Over the past 3 years, Bruce has lead PwC’s efforts on transactions ranging from $10 million to $10 billion.

    Prior to joining PwC, Bruce was the Director of Corporate Development in the chemicals industry. His experience includes strategic planning and project management, acquisition planning and targeting, valuation, due diligence, integration and post-transaction management. In this role Bruce worked extensively overseas where he was responsible for integration and post transaction management of a chemicals business.
