Brian Smith is a partner in the Assurance Services practice of the Pittsburgh office of PwC. Brian is the firm's US leader for the Business and Professional Services Industry sector. In addition to serving some of the firm's largest Professional Service clients, Brian also has experience in serving public and private clients in a wide variety of other industries including consumer and industrial products, distribution, technology, energy and mining, and real estate.Brian’s SEC experience includes IPOs, foreign private issuers, purchase business combinations as well as spin-offs and a variety of other unique transactions. Brian is a leader in emerging technical issues for the Pittsburgh office and has been a speaker for a number of professional organizations including the Financial Executives Institute and the Tax Executives Institute as well as various other professional services related organizations. Brian is a former Vice President and Board Member of the Association for Corporate Growth, a Board Member of the Pittsburgh Public Theatre and a Board Member of Chartiers Country Club.
