Impact
At PwC, we believe that responsible leadership is about doing what is best for our people, clients, environment and our communities. The Impact program -- a unique community initiative and early minority talent development program to help cultivate the next generation of leaders -- is one approach we've taken to being a responsible leader in our communities. Impact is a targeted approach to accelerating the introduction of diverse talent into leadership networks and serves as a catalyst for expanding the educational view of today's youth, helping them to maximize the opportunities available, ultimately leading to more fulfilling and lucrative careers.

Through a series of monthly workshops, Impact Scholars receive the support, information and guidance they need to broaden their awareness of the college options available and to help prepare for the admissions process. Each Scholar receives guidance from a PwC professional who serves as their mentor, providing additional support by acting as a sounding board for career and academic decisions. Participants learn to navigate the college planning application process through access to helpful information and a variety of tools and resources. Impact scholars participate beginning in January of their junior year through their high school graduation.

Selected scholars will:
  • Prepare for pursuing higher education
  • Broaden their awareness of the range of academic options available
  • Acquire tools and information for managing the necessary financial commitment
  • Gain exposure to leadership networks they might not otherwise have
