Further to our previous communication dated February 7, 2013 (Pharma and Life Sciences Tax News Issue 12 No 3: Puerto Rican bill sets 4% excise tax rate on offshore manufacturers for 2013-2017), in which we advise about the introduction of HB 741, that would set the excise tax at 4% for taxable periods commencing after December 31, 2012 until December 31, 2017, we would like to inform you about the most recent developments.
