The New FCPA Resource Guide: Live Webcast
Overview: In November 2012, the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission combined to publish A Resource Guide to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The Guide addresses a wide variety of topics, including who and what is covered by the FCPA’s anti-bribery and accounting provisions; the hallmarks of an effective corporate compliance program; and the different types of civil and criminal resolutions available.

The 130-page guide delivers a lot of value by codifying many issues already understood by FCPA practitioners. The Guide also provides new guidance in two areas: Books & Records and M&A Due Diligence. In this webcast, experts from PwC will discuss how to ensure proper books and records (and internal controls) as part of an effective compliance program. The webcast will also focus on ensuring your due diligence program is set up to mitigate FCPA risk.

Where is your data management initiative taking you?
Overview: In the world of technology, there is always a race to introduce the latest and greatest features, and the world of information governance is no exception. But, all of the features in the world can’t fix the problem if the foundation wasn’t optimal to begin with?

There’s good reason that “garbage in, garbage out” has long been a ubiquitous phrase in the interpretation of statistics: it doesn’t matter how nicely the results turn out if the measurements you started with are flawed. What does Dodd-Frank Section 1502 mean for you? -- Webcast replay available now
Overview: This webcast is based on the SEC's final rule on conflict minerals, issued August 22, 2012, pursuant to Dodd-Frank Section 1502. We will address the rule itself, how it will affect companies and how they should respond.

On August 22, the SEC issued a final rule on conflict minerals pursuant to Dodd-Frank Section 1502. The rule describes the due diligence and reporting requirements for issuers whose products contain conflict minerals. These minerals – tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold – are used in a wide range of products across numerous industries, and some estimates suggest that at least half of all SEC issuers will be impacted by this rule. In addition, a large number of private companies within issuers' supply chains are likely to feel the pressures of reporting and due diligence as well. Significant reporting and operational changes may be required. On this webcast, panelists from PwC's Assurance and Consulting practices will lead a discussion addressing the rule, its impact, and what companies should be doing now.
