By providing the first standardized approach to water reporting, these guidelines can help clarify and simplify water reporting for companies at all stages of water management, across multiple industries. As strategic advisor to the UN CEO Water Mandate, an organization of 86 large global companies committed to water sustainability, PwC led the development of the guidelines and coordinated with the project partners including Pacific Institute, Carbon Disclosure Project, Global Reporting Initiative, and World Resources Institute.

This publication and guidelines help companies address fundamental questions such as:
