As part of our program of understanding and providing perspectives on corporate governance issues, PwC is pleased to present the What Directors Think annual survey.
The survey measures the opinions of more than 1,000 directors serving on the boards of the top 2,000 publicly traded companies (by revenue) and covers such relevant issues as the economic crisis and expectations on regulatory changes due to the crisis, the current risk environment, executive compensation, and board effectiveness, to name just a few.
In addition to the survey the What Directors Think
Special Supplement offers more detail and perspective on the survey and its results. The Special Supplement focuses on the corporate governance challenges directors face given the regulatory and political fallout from the economic crisis; the board’s role in overseeing risk; and directors’ views on executive compensation. It also covers results on board composition and structure and on directors’ views about their own liability.
