Senior Policy Advisor – WNTS Tax Policy Services
The Honorable Bill Archer is a senior policy advisor to PwC’s Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) Tax Policy Services group. In this role, he provides strategic advice to clients on a broad range of federal policy issues affecting business, including taxation, international trade, energy, Social Security and health care.
Serving more than 30 years in Congress, Chairman Archer crafted the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997, a $275 billion tax cut accompanying the Balanced Budget Act of 1997; the IRS Reform and Restructuring Act of 1998; Taxpayer Bill of Rights legislation and numerous other initiatives.
As a former Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means and Member of the US House of Representatives, Chairman Archer brings extensive tax policy experience to his role as Senior Policy Advisor for PwC.
