Cost of business occupancy

Sources:
Staubach, Global Office Occupancy Costs Survey

Includes rent and outgoings, e.g. maintenance costs and property tax, (if these are normally payable by the occupier), but exclude rent-free periods, fitting-out costs and other leasing incentives. Occupancy costs do not take into account the differences in leasing practices among markets. Total occupancy costs per workstation are based on total occupancy costs and space utilization standard per workstation. Accommodation costs on a per workstation basis provides a better indication of costs to occupiers as it reflects the way organizations occupy and use the space, as well as the cost of space on a unit-area basis.
