Over the years, PwC has invited senior executives and practitioners to participate in the PwC Global Project Management survey, Organizational Success through Program and Project Management. In the 2012 survey, the third of its' nature, PwC continued our analysis to determine the current state of PM maturity and the characteristics of higher-performing projects. The survey also set out to find out more about current trends and best practices in PM. We evaluated what was working well, and where areas for improvement were needed within the PM discipline.

The data from the 2011-2012 survey identified correlation between project management and organizational success. The resulting report provides project management practitioners a thorough view of trends in 15 different areas, including successful practices, tools, certifications and training.
