IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report: 2012 first six months results

Despite economic uncertainty, internet advertising continues to show strong growth, reflecting marketers’ increasing dependence on digital media and advertising to help them reach targeted audiences. Internet advertising revenues climbed 14 percent year-over-year—to an all-time high of $17 billion—in the first half of 2012 as compared to $14.9 billion in 2011. Among the biggest drivers of this growth is Mobile which almost doubled year-over-year figures – up 95 percent to $1.2 billion in half-year 2012 from $636 million in 2011.
