Steps to getting started

So you're interested in PwC. Welcome. We're pleased you're considering us when thinking about places you'd like to start your career.

Here are some general steps you can take to get started.

1. Connect and learn about PwC

There are a few ways to learn about our firm:

  1. Spend time interacting with this website.  Learn about the kind of work we do, and what it is like to work here. Explore PwC through the stories of our people by checking out the videos on this site.
  2. Connect with us on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter for the latest updates on the firm. We encourage you to interact with us on Facebook and respond to posts that are of interest to you.
  3. Check out our calendar of events or work with career services to see when PwC will be on your campus.  On campus, you can connect with PwC recruiters to ask them questions about PwC, and to tell them a little bit about yourself.

2. Tell us about you

If you're interested in an internship or full-time position with PwC, there are a couple of ways you can get started.

First, check with your school's career center; they may have PwC positions posted there.  If there are PwC opportunities, let us know you're interested by submitting a Talent Profile for the specific opportunity listed through your career services website.

If there are no PwC positions posted with your school's career center, you'll want to create a Talent Profile on this site.

Click on the "Get Started" link to begin creating a Talent Profile, and tell us about yourself.  When completing the Talent Profile, you will be asked to provide some background information such as your major, your year in school, and your GPA.  We'll also ask you to tell us what type of opportunities you're interested in, such as an internship, or a full-time position; and which PwC line of service with which you might like to work: Assurance, Tax, or Advisory.

We'll also ask you to submit a résumé, to tell us about your academic, professional, community, and personal interests and accomplishments.  Remember to share the leadership roles you have assumed, as well as any other skills you have - we would like to see how you and your interests and abilities might be a great fit with PwC.  Check out our "10 tips to an excellent résumé" to help you create the best representation of your skills and experiences.

3. We'll review your background and interests

In general, these are the steps to getting an interview with us:

Once you have applied for a specific PwC opportunity, we'll take a look at your background and credentials.  If we determine you might be a good fit for one of our available positions within a geographic location with which you're interested in working, you may potentially be invited to interview with us on your campus.

During the initial round interview, we will begin to determine if you are a good fit for our firm.  If we are impressed with your professional skills and presence, and how your experiences have shaped you professionally and personally, we may then invite you to come to PwC for an office visit.

The office visit includes several interviews over the course of a day, as well as opportunities to get to know PwC professionals better via panel discussions or networking opportunities, including meals or receptions. Office visits are a great way to learn more about our culture, our people, and the opportunities we provide in the specific city or market in which you are most interested in working.

Upon conclusion of the office visit, if we determine that your skills, abilities, and interests are consistent with the job specifications listed in an available position, you might then be extended an offer to intern or work full-time with us.
