In 2006, Oneica joined the Banking & Capital Markets Assurance Practice in New York as an associate, and two years later was promoted to senior associate. In 2010, she participated in a six-month global mobility assignment in the United Kingdom, working as a senior associate at PwC UK. She was recently promoted to manager in 2011. Aside from her day-to-day audit responsibilities, Oneica is also very active in the Firm’s community service initiatives. Recently, she volunteered to serve as Co-Chair of the Financial Services Community Service Committee.

Q&A

  • Q: How did your global mobility assignment at PwC UK in London impact your career?

    A: My engagement team, at the time, engaged in an international swap with our PwC UK Audit team – allowing someone from the US team to work in the UK and vice versa. As a second year senior associate, I was selected to represent the US engagement team for the assignment to the UK. The experience expanded my perspective immensely, both personally and professionally, and it allowed me to stand out among my peers.

  • Q: How has your coaching style developed over time?

    A: My coaching style has evolved as a result of my global mobility assignment. I believe I am more patient now, but at the same time I’ve learned how to challenge people in different ways based on their personalities.

  • Q: Describe your role as the Co-Chair of the Financial Services Community Service Committee.

    A: I was always active in the community prior to joining PwC. Upon joining the Firm, I decided to continue my efforts both inside and outside of the Firm. While at PwC, I joined the BCM Community Service Committee of which I was a member for several years; recently, I volunteered to serve as Co-Chair of the Committee, which then sparked my interest to serve as Co-Chair of the Financial Services Community Service Committee as well. I am always excited about making an impact in New York while doing what I love for a Firm I care deeply about.
