Nick began his career at PwC as an intern in 2006 while studying as an Accounting major at the University of Buffalo. His internship led him to a full-time position in Forensics. From his work with high-profile clients and the opportunity to travel overseas, Nick’s time at PwC has led to tremendous growth in his career and in his personal life.

Q&A

  • Q: How was your experience in Kurdistan in the midst of turmoil in Iraq?

    A: Kurdistan is not like the rest of Iraq. There hadn't been any attacks or bombings in the Region in the two years prior to my travel there, so it’s a relatively peaceful area. We helped the client develop an anti-corruption strategy which contained different programs they should implement for businesses and requirements for contractors to help prevent corruption and make Kurdistan more appealing to foreign businesses. The Prime Minister of Kurdistan announced our strategy in a press conference two weeks after our trip which was pretty cool.

  • Q: How did that experience help develop your career at PwC?

    A: I definitely think it helped me to continue to grow as a leader on projects. For example, in 2012 I had been a senior associate for two years, and I was given the opportunity to manage my first project. I was the main contact on this project internally and for the client, supervised the project team, and led the client calls each week.

  • Q: Do you feel that you’ve received a lot of support from PwC?

    A: Yes, both professionally and personally. A close family member of mine was having medical issues in 2010. Their diagnosis required them to be hospitalized for a little while. I wanted to be there for them. My team provided tremendous support. They were very understanding of my need to make my family a top priority. It makes me even more appreciative of PwC and my co-workers for being so supportive.
