Lauren was an Operations Intern with PwC in Boston before graduating from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. In 2010, she joined the Chicago office’s Advisory Operations practice as a Senior Associate and was recently promoted to manager within Customer Impact Consulting.

  • Q: Describe your internship with PwC Boston.

    A: The summer with PwC gave me the best experience for consulting as I was visiting three cities a week doing inventory optimization around the country. It was a small team and I was busy as the only intern. I was thrilled to get so much hands-on experience to preview what it would be like to work at PwC, and it truly sold me on a career with PwC.

  • Q: What do you enjoy most about your career in consulting with PwC Advisory?

    A: I work with a wonderful group of people. I have yet to meet another PwC employee who doesn't share the firm’s values of community, mentoring and growth. I think one of the reasons I have been able to excel is the climate here where one is encouraged to ask questions.

  • Q: Do you feel like you've been able to take control over your own career?

    A: I've had a lot of opportunities to date, and I feel that PwC has so much more to offer my career. I have been able to work with a range of different clients, which is one of my priorities. I work across all sectors and I am not pinned down to any one industry or sector.

  • Q: How did PwC help you grow personally?

    A: I'm more confident than I used to be. I’m still very aware of what I don't know, but when I know I'm in a room with people who are experts, I don't hesitate to speak up and ask questions.

  • Q: What do you enjoy outside of the office?

    A: My philosophy is traveling to at least one new country every year, so I believe in taking vacations and just going somewhere I haven't been before.
