Q&A with Jake
What prompted you to consider a seasonal role at PwC?
A couple of years ago, I decided to pursue a career in medicine. I left the firm to take required courses for medical school. Doing this meant I had a non-traditional schedule and I was flexible, considering I worked part-time at a hospital. I'm starting medical school in August.
What type of knowledge or skills do you feel that you've gained being part of PwC's Flexibility² Talent Network?
The things that I've learned through PwC were primarily teamwork, communication, prioritization and time management. Together, all of us on the team worked through issues together real-time. I feel like I received coaching from every team member and they invested time to ensure that I was adequately prepared to succeed.
What would you tell someone who was considering becoming part of PwC's seasonal workforce?
If you think you might be interested, check it out. Be open-minded. If it fits with what else you want to do in your life, it's a great opportunity to work with a top firm.
