In the third quarter, Manhattan's occupancy levels increased modestly, while average daily rates ("ADR") continued to recover strongly, resulting in a substantial increase in revenue per available room ("RevPAR") levels.


During the third quarter of 2010, Manhattan's occupancy levels increased to 86.8 percent, a 1.0 percent increase from the same period last year. In a sign of a sustainable price recovery, ADR increased by an average of 13.6 percent. As a result, the market experienced a strong ADR-driven increase of 14.8 percent in RevPAR, the highest increase in third quarter RevPAR since the 21.5 percent increase in the third quarter of 2005.
