PwC’s lodging forecast anticipates improvements in occupancy and average room rates in the second half of 2010 will result in a 4.1 percent increase in revenue per available room (RevPAR) for the year overall. Lodging fundamentals improved substantially in the first half of 2010, as business travelers returned to many markets. Meanwhile, supply growth continues to slow. These conditions support a forecast of 6.7 percent RevPAR growth in 2011.
