Chao Choon is a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) LLP in Singapore, and leads its Advisory line of service. PwC Advisory comprises both the Consulting and Deals practices, and assists clients in transforming their businesses, and provides mergers & acquisition (M&A), infrastructure and forensic advisory services.
Chao Choon is concurrently the Managing Director for PwC Myanmar Company Ltd, and was instrumental in setting up the business in 2012. PwC Myanmar’s provide both tax and advisory services, focusing primarily on market entry, mergers & acquisition and infrastructure advisory services and assist local companies transform and grow their businesses.
Chao Choon has been with PwC network for over 25 years and have worked in both its Singapore and Sydney firms. He has been a PwC partner since 1998. He started out in its audit practice, but started to specialise in Deals advisory services some 15 years ago. Chao Choon has extensive experience advising clients in cross-border mergers & acquisitions across Asia Pacific, in addition to his audit and accounting skills.
Outside of PwC, Chao Choon is the Deputy Chairman and Audit Committee Chairman of the Republic Polytechnic in Singapore, and also a board member and the Audit Committee Chairman of both the National Environment Agency and Old Parliament House Limited.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore with First Class Honours degree in Bachelor of Accountancy. He also has an MBA (Banking and Finance) degree from the Nanyang Business School. In addition, he is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Singapore.
