PwC's 10-year planning process began in late fall 2007. To establish a baseline for our thinking, we met individually with a cross section of senior US executives, academics, public policy experts and PwC partners. The majority of our private sector interviews were with CEOs from Fortune 100 corporations based in the US with extensive international operations. Several CFOs and R&D and strategy leaders also participated.
In addition, we performed scenario planning, held leadership workshops, and conducted internal and external macroeconomic analyses to apply imagination and discipline to our thinking.
