Ninth annual alternative investments seminar highlights

In today’s dynamic, evolving world of alternative investments, industry trends and legislative and regulatory priorities constantly change.

To help industry practitioners stay abreast of trends and developments, PwC annually holds seminars around the world to discuss developments, issues, and challenges facing the alternative investments industry.

This year, the Ninth Annual Alternative Investments Seminar kicked off in New York City in December 2009, with an audience of more than 1,000 participants. Seminars were also held in six other US cities and several major international locations.

This publication captures highlights from the New York City seminar, which opened with remarks from Mark Casella, US Co-Leader of PwC’s Alternative investments practice.

The keynote discussion featured an interview between Bob Nardelli, Chief Executive Officer of Cerberus Operating and Advisory Company, and Maria Bartiromo, the CNBC anchor of “Closing Bell” and the host and managing editor of the nationally syndicated program, "Wall Street Journal Report."

We hope this document helps provide insight into key trends and developments, highlighted at the seminar.
