Helping US companies operate in Latin America

PwC has long had a strong presence in Latin America, with our first office opening in 1906 in Mexico City, Mexico, followed by Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1913 and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1915. With over 12,000 professionals and serving more major clients than any other professional services organization in the region, PwC is in a unique position to help companies with operations in Latin America.

Leveraging this strength, PwC established in the US the Latin American Business Center (LABC) as a group primarily dedicated to assisting clients with all aspects of their business operations in Latin America. Acting as a port of entry to the region for US companies investing in or interested in Latin America, the LABC provides clients with a comprehensive range of PwC's services throughout the US and Latin America. These services include: audit, assurance and business advisory services; business process outsourcing; financial advisory services; global HR solutions; management consulting; and tax and legal services.

Given the LABC's broad reach across different lines of services and industries, we are uniquely positioned to provide PwC clients with a comprehensive approach to solving their complex business problems in the region. The LABC is staffed not only by permanent US-based professionals, but also by professionals from our various Latin American offices on temporary tours-of-duty in the US. This enables us to address our clients' needs with respect to Latin America not only from the perspective of US professionals, who are expert in assisting US companies doing business in Latin America, but also from the perspective of professionals from the region.

Through special focus groups (such as the Latin American transaction support services group, the Latin American tax group, the Latin American transfer pricing group, the Latin American customs and trade group) the LABC advises PwC's clients in connection with their different needs in the region, from the general to the specific.
