Mike Burwell is the firm's US Operations Leader, Chief Financial Officer and a Vice Chairman. In his 24 years of experience with the firm, Mike has been involved in a wide range of buy-and-sell projects for large multinationals as well as smaller, private companies. He has evaluated the business models and projections of various private equity funds, and led teams analyzing individual product profitability and product/process enhancements in a variety of industries.

Mike became a partner in the Detroit office in 1997, focusing on Assurance and Business Advisory Services. He went on to lead the Transaction Services' Automotive Industry practice and became the Central Region Leader of the Transaction Services group. From there, he assumed leadership of the overall US Transaction Services practice. Mike remains accessible to a portfolio of clients, is an often quoted source for the media related to the subject of mergers and acquisitions, and is a frequently invited speaker on the topic.

Mike has a degree in accounting from Michigan State University. For the past three years he has served on the Board at Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center in Michigan. Mike lives in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., with his wife and three children.
