Mike Burwell is PwC's Global and US Transformation Leader. In this role, he works with strategy, operations, functional, and alignment leaders to ensure that PwC is at the leading edge of developments that continue to enhance value for clients by delivering fast, quality service across all areas of business and geographies.
He was previously the US Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer where he executed a variety of firm integration efforts. In this role, Mike oversaw a diverse group of internal functions including Human Capital, Finance, Technology, Knowledge Management, and Global Strategic Sourcing.
Prior to this, Mike held several leadership positions including US Transaction Services Leader, and was involved in a wide range of buy-and-sell projects for large multinationals as well as smaller, private companies. This included evaluating the business models and projections of various private equity funds, and analyzing individual product profitability and product/process enhancements in a variety of industries. Before this, Mike was the Central Region Transaction Services Leader and Transaction Services Leader for the Automotive Industry practice.
Mike joined the firm in the Assurance practice focused on Business Advisory Services. He was admitted to the partnership in 1997 in Detroit. Mike is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a degree in accounting from Michigan State University. He and his wife have three children.
