Mike Burwell is PwC's Global and US Transformation Leader. In this role, he works with strategy, operations, and alignment leaders to ensure that PwC is at the leading edge of developments that continue to enhance value for clients by delivering fast, quality service across all areas of business and geographies.
He was previously the US Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer where he applied his 25 years of experience executing on a variety of firm integration efforts. Mike oversaw a diverse group of internal functions including Human Capital, Finance, Technology, Knowledge Management, and Global Strategic Sourcing.
Mike joined the firm in the Assurance practice focused on Business Advisory Services. He held several leadership positions, including US Transaction Services Leader, and was involved in a wide range of buy-and-sell projects for large multinationals as well as smaller, private companies. This included evaluating the business models and projections of various private equity funds, and analyzing individual product profitability and product/process enhancements in a variety of industries. Before this, Mike was the Central Region Transaction Services Leader and prior to that Transaction Services Leader for the Automotive Industry practice.
Mike was admitted to the partnership in 1997 in Detroit. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a degree in accounting from Michigan State University.
