“In 2012, I volunteered to help teach financial literacy as part of Project Belize. It was a wonderful experience and when I left, all the kids said I’d soon forget them, but little do they know, I think of them every day!
In fact it was so successful, we decided to set up some summer camps in New York, too. Getting up in front of a classroom of kids was totally new to me but seeing those ‘light bulb moments,’ when the children understand a concept, is just amazing. You get so much out of it that my advice to anyone at PwC is simple – get out there and teach!”
