Actuarial work involves using complex financial and statistical theories to analyse the likelihood of events - anything from a hurricane to a wholesale IT systems failure - and their financial implications for our clients. It's a challenging and highly technical area, made even more so by the fact we have to present our complex findings in easily digestible formats that clients can use to help them protect their interests.

What we offer

Join PwC in Actuarial and you'll enjoy a hugely stimulating learning experience, as well as the opportunity to work on client assignments that will test your intellect and mathematical ability. Working alongside talented actuaries who rank amongst the best in their profession, you'll be able to learn from their rich experience and carve out a career in a demanding field.

You'll join via the PwC Experience Specialist Route - but that doesn't mean you can't keep your longer-term options open: whichever discipline you join within Actuarial, you'll have plenty of opportunity to experience the different services we offer and work with different types of clients.

What you'll do

You can find out more about what each discipline has to offer by reading their individual pages - but you'll definitely be helping clients minimise risk by conducting complex calculations and modelling, at the same time training for Institute of Actuaries exams (or the Faculty of Actuaries), for which we'll support you, financially and with expert additional tutoring, meaning you'll qualify much sooner than the national average.
