PwC's Southampton office is host to around 300 staff, of which 16 are partners or directors - and we have around 70 trainees at any one time. The office has a superb location - in Ocean Village, overlooking the waterfront and marina and perfect for yachting and boating enthusiasts. We are close to the town centre, so the area surrounding the office contains a good variety of restaurants, pubs and clubs.

Our client mix is fairly diverse - it includes companies in aerospace, defence, manufacturing, technology, retail and business services. And not just multinational companies and household names - although we certainly have a fair few of those, as auditors to some of the largest companies on the south coast. We also advise and carry out work for entrepreneurs and family-run businesses who call on us to help them grow and thrive.

We're the only PwC office in the south region for public sector business, and by far the largest professional services firm overall on the South Coast - providing career opportunities to more students and graduates each year than the other Big 4 firms here combined.

As a full-service office, we provide all the PwC offerings, with Assurance our biggest service line.

The social life enjoyed by our staff is active and varied. On the sporting front, we have men's and ladies' football teams, who each play in local leagues, as well as a competitive netball team and both indoor and outdoor cricket teams.

There are always ad hoc socials going on and recently organised activities have included 'Go-Ape' and a day trip to France.

Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is clear. We have an annual, office-wide CSR day - this year, we're teaming up with local radio station Power FM, with listeners bidding for our staff's time on various community events. Last year we spent a day renovating and updating a local school's playground facilities. All of which have the bonus of being brilliant team-building exercises. On a more regular basis, staff volunteer to help with local reading schemes, and enter teams in events such as the Race for Life.
